WOW! What a success the Mitcheldean Flower Festival was. We were all astonished at the amazing creations that were presented by various community groups from around the village. We were also very proud of the ‘Pirates Birthday Party’ contribution from our school. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of family members who donated flowers and accessories for our display. Thank you very much!
The whole school have been busy preparing floral displays for the flower festival which coincides with the Mitcheldean Open Gardens this weekend. Year 6 worked in pairs to create miniature gardens which can be viewed in the entrance to the Church. Here are some action shots and the finished products. I am sure that you agree that they are fantastic. None of this would have been possible without the donations from parents and grandparents, so thank you.
Thank you to everyone who donated used Christmas cards to our collection this year. As some of you know Lakers School take our donations, with theirs, to the Cobalt unit in Cheltenham. Lots of people from Huntley, Mitcheldean and local businesses brought their cards to Mitcheldean to add to the collection.
The photographs on the right is our reception the day before the cards went to the Cobalt unit.
